Studio’s policies.

Attire.

Proper dance attire must be worn at all times. Students’ hair must be neat and in place, pulled back off of their face and neck. In Ballet, a bun is required at all times. In other dance styles, a bun is preferred. No jewelry (except for small earrings) is to be worn to class or rehearsals. The appropriate dance shoes must be worn in class. Ballet and Jazz cannot be executed properly in bare feet or tights. Hip Hop requires sneakers. It is suggested that leotard and tights be worn without undergarments. Please change into dance shoes when you arrive and enter the dance room with dance shoes on.

Classroom Etiquette and Attire.

Proper classroom etiquette and attire are essential to the education and training of all dancers. Arrive at least 10 minutes early to prepare yourself appropriately for class. If late, please wait at the dance room door to be assigned a spot. Water bottles are encouraged. Dancers may drink during transition times. Be kind to your classmates. A positive attitude and tone must be kept at all times in the studio and dressing room. Keep your things neat, in your dance bag and off of the studio floor during class. No gum chewing, eating or drinking (except water) is allowed in the studios, and use the trash can! Do not wear your dance shoes outside the studio and do not wear street shoes inside the studio. Please label shoes and other personal items and do not bring valuables to the studio.

Dress code.

There is a dress code for every class, please refer to the classes description section to find out the uniform for your child’s class. Wearing clothes outside the dress code can be distracting for all the dancers in the room and takes away from the class. Even if a dancer is wearing dance attire that doesn’t match the dress code, it can still cause distractions.

Class attendance and punctuality.

We encourage you to strive for a record of perfect attendance. We will take attendance in every class just to ensure that the students are progressing properly and reaching his or her goals for the next level. Punctuality is critical in Dance class. We promote punctuality in order to have the best mindset to start a class. Remember that changing into the Ballet Shoes and preparing your child for the class will take at least 10 mins. If late please, place your student at the door of the Dance room to be seen and wait for the teacher to come. Do not interrupt class, the teacher is aware that a student can be late, she will be ready to come and get the student at the door.

Make up classes.

Your student has the option to make-up a scheduled class due to an excused absence. They could make up the same class in a different time. Refund cannot be issued for missed classes. In order to make up a class the student must be enrolled in the class. Class make-up must be completed within the month of the missed class. Holidays are not made up as compensation for the months that are longer and we do not charge more. Make-up classes have to be scheduled.
